Description

Smaug’s fearsome legacy endures in this miniature polystone statue, which presents the fire-drake’s fossilized skull as a compact Middle-earth artifact. Long horn cores appear wrapped in durable black keratin, while recurved, serrated teeth bear traces of gold fused into their enamel—a reminder of the treasure hoard beneath the dragon and the heat of his breath. The massive jaw and resonating skull cavities also suggest the enthralling, terrifying voice that once echoed through the Lonely Mountain.

Display the skull with its jaw open to recall Smaug’s earthshaking roar, or close it for a more brooding, ominous presence. Weta Workshop applies the same exacting approach associated with its film design, prop, and costume work, with extensive design, sculpting, model-making, molding, and painting behind the prototype. For collectors drawn to the creatures and anatomy of Middle-earth, this detailed resin centerpiece offers a distinctive way to examine one of its most legendary dragons.
